When the client sends modeling feedback, that feedback commonly needs to be processed back to the modelers. However, the client surely will not use the same terminology or the same process as we do internally.
For that reason, the client comment must not be copied and sent to modeling as a valid Cylindo response. The client feedback must be processed by QA, and the response to modeling must be within the standard responses that are outlined above in this document.
- Reconstruct client feedback into Cylindo standard comments.
Make sure that you take the time and understand the client feedback and create new comments along the Cylindo standards that will be sent to modeling. These comments must be clear, understandable, and along the lines of Cylindo standards so that there is no miscommunication or misinterpretation of the feedback.

Correct Using the standard Cylindo responses, all of the involved parties are on the same page about what the feedback is and how it needs to be implemented |
Another important step when processing client feedback is to let Production know the edit that was done on the model. This way, we can avoid re-rendering whole sequences that haven’t been edited at all.
- Inform Production of the edit done on the model
- Inform Production of the edit done on the camera (no need if no changes to the existing camera is done)
- Make sure that you leave a comment informing Production specifically what was edited on the model
Example of a comment in the CMS comment section informing the CC and the TL (if needed) about the changes made on the model or camera.
