The CAPI flow for visualizing an image is split into two main phases as explained in the following sections.
Phase 1 - Image URL retrieval
The first stage that must be taken for visualization an image using CAPI is the “image url retrieval”. During this stage you will send a request with e.g. the desired features to the “GetImageURL” endpoint. The endpoint will then give you a json response with the location of the requested image.
Phase 2 - Image retrieval
This stage allows you to retrieve your requested image using the URL that you obtained from phase one (the image url retrieval phase). Depending on the size of the image that you are requesting you may also have to add your access key within the request (programmatically). This is for any images that are larger than your already agreed on viewer viewport size.
