Phases of the visualization experience
The 360 HD Viewer flow for downloading and visualizing the 360 degree renders are split into five different phases as explained in the following sections.
1. Framework installation
Once the Cylindo framework has been “installed” on the page and is ready to be used you can instantiate one or more 360 HD Viewer instances with different parameters. During the instantiation phase then you initialize the 360 HD Viewer instance with the desired sku, features and various other options like if it should be allowed to zoom or enter fullscreen.
3. First Frame
When the 360 HD Viewer has been instantiated then the first priority of the 360 HD Viewer is to show the first frame as fast as possible. The first image is shown as fast as possible in order give the best user experience and get immediate feedback from the 360 HD Viewer.
Depending on the device and options it will download between 1/8th and half of the content initially. Once this is ready it will enable the user to view the product in a 360 degree experience (albeit less smooth than in phase 5). It is possible to rotate the object by clicking on the thumbnails (if displayed) or by left clicking/touching anywhere in the 360 HD Viewer object and drag the mouse/finger to rotate the view. If enabled it is possible to enter zoom and fullscreen in this phase.
5. Smooth rotate
Once all content have been downloaded the 360 degree experience will be significantly more smooth than in phase 4. Just as in phase 4 it is possible to enter zoom and fullscreen if it is enabled during instantiation.
