The 360 HD Viewer is implemented on web pages using a dynamic AJAX approach enabling the changing of 360 degree renders on the page without reloading the entire page. This requires a feature selection functionality on the product page (selection of different fabrics, colors or possibly add-ons). The 360 HD Viewer supports using existing* SKU numbers when controlling which product variation or feature to be displayed. This also allows using existing “feature selection” and/or “add to cart” behavior on the product page without extensive code or layout changes.
For product pages without feature selection behavior, but instead individual product pages per feature (e.g. color variation) the 360 HD Viewer can then be used just to show the specific product variation as this is the default behavior of the 360 HD Viewer. When using this approach the initial 360 HD Viewer is simply created with the SKU and features that match the product on the product page in a “fire and forget” manner.
“legs”, “red walnut”, “fabric”, “white leather”, “armrests”, “standard”
Once instantiated the 360 HD Viewer is able to download the appropriate content that allows the user to view the product in a 360 degree view.
If the 360 HD Viewer is required to change the renders that is displayed to a different set of features then the 360 HD Viewer is simply instructed to use a different set of features such as:
“legs”, “red walnut”, “fabric”, black leather”, “armrests”, “modern”
The 360 HD Viewer will change the renders based on the given feature set without reloading the parent page.
* To the extent possible with the data structure used by the 360 HD Viewer. This will be determined in the pre-production phase so efforts from the client can be determined.
